It goes something like this:
–Go to your ancestors’ graves
–Party HARD on them
That’s about it. Georgian Easter was last weekend, and I made the 30km (but 1.5 hour) trip up to Racha, a region where two of my friends live. All in all, I think I counted 12 supras that we attended that day – on top of a mountain nonetheless, which made the trip down that evening rather adventurous. Here are some pictures! In other news, I got to visit the new volunteers’ PST site a couple weeks ago and I did a presentation for them, pretending to know what I was talking about, you know the usual. We also celebrated our 1 year mark for being in-country…I use the term “celebrated” loosely here, because it was a pretty sobering realization that really necessitated being un-sober to deal with. All of next week I’ll be in Tbilisi attempting what will be my first teaching experience at adult evening classes through Tbilisi City Hall. And, the weather has finally stabilized into sweet, sunny, sunscreen-inducing warmth. A lot of fun stuff going on!
